Preserving the Legacy

The Alexander Hamilton Friends Association is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton Friends believes that knowledge of American history, and particularly the founding era of the United States, helps leaders better understand who we are as a people. As a result we encourage everyone to maintain an active interest in our historical heritage.

Currently we have two objectives:

1) The maintenance of up-to-date reading lists concerned with the founding of the United States; and

2) The maintenance of timely information about the restoration of Hamilton's Manhattan home, called The Grange.

Future plans call for the publication of mini-biographies of significant members of the founding generation. This encompasses all signers of the Declaration of Independence, attendees at the Constitutional Convention and other notables of that era, including both American and non-American persons. We plan a visual tour of Hamilton's New York, a life timeline of many of the top founders and other information useful to students as well as to teachers of history and social studies.
