How to Apply

Students are selected for the Hamilton Award on an annual basis. We are currently accepting applications for the 2010 Hamilton Citizenship Award!  Applications are due on April 16th, 2010.



What kind of student wins the Hamilton Award?

A Hamilton Award Winner…

  •  Is a Junior in high school.
  •  Is College bound.
  •  Has a strong record of community service.
  •  Shows a strong commitment to their academic studies.
  •  Is a self starter and has proven this through activities such as: organizing a fundraiser, starting a business, starting a club or organization or working to help support his or her family.
  •  Shows passion and commitment to their interests. This is often manifested in athletic, artistic or academic achievements.
  •  Has some personal need. Hamilton Friends tries to choose the students who will benefit most from our programs and who otherwise may not have access to our services. When choosing our winners we take the applicant’s financial, family and community situation into consideration.
